Rebar machinery is the one kind of plant where a single breakdown halts everything downstream. A cut-and-bend yard with a dead shear line has nothing to deliver, and a site with a dead bender has steel fixers standing still. That is a different urgency from a mixer that will not start, which is why this work has its own page rather than sitting inside general machinery repair.
We supply bar bending and cutting machines as well as repairing them, so these are machines our technicians work on every week rather than meet for the first time when yours arrives — whether it is a Baylorr or Leadermec machine we supplied, or a Pedax, Peddinghaus, Oscam, Schnell, ICARO, Simpedil, OFMER or Maxiito machine we did not.
Pedax, Peddinghaus, Oscam and Schnell machines are the ones in cut-and-bend plants: automatic stirrup benders, shearing lines and cut-to-length systems. They run high cycle counts, and when an Oscam line or a Schnell stirrup bender stops, the cost is measured in a day of plant output rather than in the part. The usual faults are drive, hydraulic or control — not structural — which is exactly the work that can be done here instead of waiting on a technician flying in.
Pedax / Peddinghaus
German bar processing lines — Pedax benders, shears and stirrup machines, from the Peddinghaus rebar range. What stops a Pedax or Peddinghaus line is usually drive, hydraulic or control rather than structural, which is the kind of work a workshop can turn around without the machine leaving the country.
Oscam
Italian rebar processing plant — automatic stirrup benders, shearing lines and cut-to-length systems. Control and servo faults, hydraulic leaks, worn dies and blade sets.
Schnell
Italian automatic rebar machinery used in large cut-and-bend yards. High-cycle machines, so wear items and drive components are the common failures long before anything structural.
A production line is not going to be loaded onto a truck, so this work is attended on site across the UAE. Send the make, the model and a photo of the controller error before anything else — a good proportion of CNC faults are identifiable from that alone.
ICARO, Leadermec, Baylorr, Simpedil, OFMER and Maxiito machines — the ones on most UAE sites and in smaller fabrication shops. These are usually faster and cheaper to repair in the workshop than on site, because the press, the machining and the rewinding bay are all here.
ICARO
Italian benders and cutters, including the direct-drive P-series. Belt-free designs with fewer wear parts, but gearbox, pedal and contactor faults still come in.
Leadermec
The Italian bending and cutting range AMACO supplies — Leadermec P44, P54, C44 and C54. Direct-drive benders and cast-iron monoblock cutters, built by ICARO.
Baylorr
The range we hold the GCC dealership for — P-42, P-55, RB25, C-42, C-55, SB22 and the RM32 arc bender. Genuine parts held in Ajman, and warranty work handled here rather than overseas.
Simpedil
Italian rebar bending and cutting machines. Standard shear and bending repairs — blades, dies, bending pins, hydraulics and motor work.
OFMER
Italian bar bending and cutting machinery. Same scope: drive train, hydraulics, electrical control and the wear items that take the load.
Maxiito
Bar bending and cutting machines. Same scope again: gearbox and drive train, hydraulics, electrical control, and the blades, dies and bending pins that carry the wear.

Diagnosis
What Actually Fails on These Machines
Four groups cover almost everything that comes through the shop. The more of this you can tell us up front, the more accurate the quote is before the machine moves.
Control and CNC faults
Controller errors, encoder and position-feedback faults, servo drive failures, PLC and I/O problems, bend angle drifting out of tolerance. On a Pedax, Peddinghaus, Oscam or Schnell line this is the difference between a machine that runs and a yard that stops.
Hydraulics
Cylinder seal failure, pump wear, pressure loss, valve blocks, hose and fitting leaks. An ICARO, Simpedil, OFMER or Maxiito bender that has lost pressure will still move and simply stop making the bend — which is why it often arrives late, after the bar has been scrapped.
Electrical and motor
Contactors, overloads, limit switches, foot pedal faults, wiring damage and burnt windings. Motor rewinding is done in our own shop rather than sent out, which takes a week off the typical repair.
Gearbox wear and bearing failure, worn bending pins and dies, blunt or misaligned shear blades, bent working discs, frame and mounting cracks. Blade and die replacement is the most common job on a Baylorr, Leadermec, Simpedil, OFMER or Maxiito cutter.
Where the Work Happens
On Site or in the Workshop
On site for the machines that cannot realistically move — Pedax, Peddinghaus, Oscam and Schnell lines, automatic stirrup benders, anything bolted into a plant layout. We attend across the UAE for diagnosis and for repairs that can be completed in place.
In the workshop for ICARO, Leadermec, Baylorr, Simpedil, OFMER and Maxiito benders and cutters, which is usually both faster and cheaper. Gearbox work, motor rewinding, blade and die replacement and machining all happen in Ajman, so the machine is not moving between subcontractors while your programme waits.

Commercials
Turnaround, Parts and Warranty
ICARO, Leadermec, Baylorr, Simpedil, OFMER and Maxiito benders and cutters: two working days from quote approval, the same as the rest of our workshop work.
Pedax, Peddinghaus, Oscam and Schnell lines are quoted after diagnosis rather than against a standard turnaround. A controller or servo fault is not a two-day job, and a date we would miss is worth less to you than an honest one.
Repairs carry a three-month workmanship warranty from the return date, extended on request for major overhauls. Replacement parts carry whatever warranty the part maker gives.
Genuine Baylorr parts are held in Ajman. For Pedax, Peddinghaus, Oscam, Schnell, ICARO, Leadermec, Simpedil, OFMER and Maxiito, parts are sourced per job and the lead time is confirmed in the quote before you commit.

Two working days from quote approval on an ICARO, Leadermec, Baylorr, Simpedil, OFMER or Maxiito bender or cutter, which is the same turnaround as the rest of our workshop work. Pedax, Peddinghaus, Oscam and Schnell repairs are quoted after diagnosis instead — a controller or servo fault is not a two-day job and we would rather give you a real date than a convenient one.
Both. A Pedax, Peddinghaus, Oscam or Schnell line in a cut-and-bend yard is not going to move, so those we attend on site across the UAE. Standard benders and cutters are usually faster and cheaper to repair in the workshop, where the press, the machining and the rewinding bay are. We will tell you which makes sense once we know the fault.
On a hydraulic machine, most often cylinder seals or a worn pump, sometimes a valve block. The machine keeps moving and simply stops completing the bend, which is why it tends to arrive after a batch of bar has already been scrapped. On a mechanical bender it is more likely gearbox or clutch wear. Either way it is diagnosable from a short video of the machine working.

Diagnosis is quoted with the job. Send photos, the nameplate and a short video of the fault on WhatsApp first — a lot of faults can be identified from that before anything moves, which saves both of us a visit.
